About Jesús León
José de Jesús Chucho León Hernández is a Mexico City photographer who began shooting at 15 with a Polaroid camera. For more than twenty years he has documented the city's night: its music scene, underground venues, gay clubs and adult cinemas, in images shaped by Mexican Catholic aesthetics and fashion photography. Vida, published by Edition Patrick Frey in 2018, collects 253 colour images from that body of work.
