ALF was an American sitcom that ran on NBC from 1986 to 1990. It followed Gordon Shumway, a wisecracking furry alien from the planet Melmac who crash-lands into the garage of the suburban Tanner family and is nicknamed ALF, short for Alien Life Form. Sarcastic, hungry and endlessly mischievous, he became one of the most recognisable TV characters of the 1980s.
