About Vivienne Maricevic
Vivienne Maricevic is a New York photographer who since 1975 has documented queer communities, sexuality, gender expression and underground culture, gaining rare access to venues such as Show World and the Pussycat. Her monographs include Male Burlesk Times Square, NYC 1980–1981. New York Then 1986–1992 presents black and white portraits of trans performers, artists and sex workers in late-1980s Manhattan.
