About Richard Tipping

Richard Tipping is an Australian artist and poet, born in Adelaide in 1949, who works with words as visual material. His practice spans concrete poetry, text sculpture, subverted road signs and large public artworks, often with sly humour. His work is held in collections including the National Gallery of Australia, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the British Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

About Richard Tipping

Third Drawer Down carries the artist's work into the home. Founded in Melbourne in 2003, it partners with artists, estates and museums to translate original works into homeware and gifts — tea towels, ceramics, textiles and objects — produced with care for artistic integrity and made for everyday use.
