Pantone

Pantone is the American company behind the Pantone Matching System, introduced in 1963, which gives every colour a unique number so designers and printers around the world can reproduce it exactly. Its colour chips have become a design icon in their own right, and its annual Color of the Year, announced since 2000, influences fashion, interiors and graphics.
