Sex and the City is the HBO series that ran from 1998 to 2004, adapted from Candace Bushnell's book. Following columnist Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, and her friends Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda as they navigate love and friendship in Manhattan, it made fashion a star in its own right and changed how television portrayed women's lives.
