About Chia Pet
Chia Pet is the classic American novelty planter: a terracotta figure that sprouts a coat of green chia 'fur' within days of watering. Made famous by its catchy 'ch-ch-ch-chia' television adverts from the early 1980s, it has become a much-loved kitsch gift and a pop-culture staple.
