South Park is the animated series created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone that premiered on Comedy Central in 1997. Following Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny in a small Colorado mountain town, its rough cut-out style and fast turnaround allow it to satirise current events within days. It is one of the longest-running and most influential animated shows in television history.
