About the artwork: Robert Indiana expressly created “Yield Brother” for the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation in support of his anti-nuclear beliefs. About robert indiana
Robert Indiana (1928–2018) was an American Pop artist celebrated for his bold, emblematic use of words and numbers. Born in New Castle, Indiana, he created his famous LOVE design in the 1960s, with its stacked letters and tilted O. Reproduced as sculptures, prints and a US postage stamp, it became one of the most recognised images in modern art.
