Kris and Andy are a couple and artist duo based in Toronto, Canada. In their work, they explore gay male identity and culture through the medium of porcelain and the act of ornamentation. The fragility, elegance and prestige of porcelain and its traditional role in domestic life makes it an exciting avenue to explore alternative, but popular, themes of culture, identity and sexuality. Their work is predominantly slip-cast porcelain, that they combine with hand built elements and a variety of decorating techniques.
