Aaron Krach , Handbook
Details
“A story about hands. A story about men. A story about men’s hands.” So begins this experimental memoir by Aaron Krach, a collection of images and memories, collages and new photographs. The artist has clearly been thinking about hands, his own an others people’s, for many years, experiencing feelings from pride to fear buffeted by a current of desire. Why, and how, do hands become more than just very useful appendages? When does obsession becomes a fetish? And can a fetish thrive outside the realm of fantasy? In this book, hands become a tool for reflection, introspection, and inspiration. This edit, archive and remix create a portrait of hands as meaningful, complex, wonderfully human. Book design by Edoardo Ferrari.
