This male figure represents the artist's reminiscences of the DISCO ERA (1970-1980). This is a portion of a series called “new boys” of erotic collages. The text within the figures, derives from erotic magazines of that era, when meeting men was only possible through personal ads or in bars. That decade predates the scourge of HIV-AIDS that so severely impacted the GAY community. So, these figures are evocative of those years, during which sex with men was relatively carefree and without dire consequences
