Robert Dallas

Robert Dallas is a queer painter based in New York City, working primarily in acrylics. His work explores the male form and sexuality through a lens shaped by identity, desire, and unapologetic expression. Originally from Oklahoma, Dallas moved to New York in 2010 to study menswear at Parsons School of Design, launching a successful career in fashion with brands like Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein, DKNY, and ultimately serving as Art Director for GIII (home to Donna Karan, DKNY, and Karl Lagerfeld, among others). Drawing from his background in fashion and his commitment to LGBTQ+ visibility, Dallas creates bold, sensual, and often provocative paintings that challenge notions of censorship and celebrate queer narratives. He believes in the power of art to confront, liberate, and connect-and remains a vocal advocate for artistic freedom and LGBTQ+ rights.
