Wolfgang Tillmans: Sound is Liquid
Details
Spanning early 1990s photographs through work made during the pandemic, this volume examines Wolfgang Tillmans' practice at its foundation: the observation of people, their relationships with other people and their surroundings, and fundamental questions such as "What do I really see? What do I see, and what do I want to see? What is in the picture?"
With essays by curators Matthias Michalka and Karola Kraus, cultural scientist Diedrich Diederichsen, art critic Elisabeth Lebovici, art historian George T. Baker and architecture professor Felicity D. Scott, followed by over 100 pages of photographs designed by Tillmans himself.
