Tom of Finland (Touko Laaksonen)
Tom of Finland (1920–1991), born Touko Laaksonen, was a Finnish artist whose homoerotic illustrations redefined the visual language of gay masculinity. Celebrated for his hypermasculine figures—leather-clad men, sailors, and bikers—his work combines technical precision with unapologetic eroticism and a spirit of empowerment.
