CULTUREEDIT AUCTION #3
nathan rapport
As a painter, illustrator, muralist, designer, and performer, Nathan Rapport uses multiple media and formats to bring to life his vision of a queer utopia. Rapport's art explores themes of intimacy, sexuality, fantasy, nostalgia, magic, nature, loss, and intergenerational dialogue, rendered through a vivid technicolor lens and a hyper-romantic color palette. Influenced by formative years in San Francisco, and inspired largely from a generation of queer artists who lived through the AIDS crisis, his work celebrates the deep connection between contemporary LGBTQIA+ experiences and queer ancestral histories.
